Hi,

Is it possible to use a cisco router to give out setting files etc to ip phones from Http server on cisco router?

option 242 ascii "MCIPADD=10.x.x.1,10.x.x.2,10.x.x.3,MCPORT=1719,TFTPSRVR=10.x.x.254"
lease infinite

I can upload 9600 files to router but I missing something?

Regards,

R

Yes, the DHCP Server on a PIX can hand out Option 242, however, it cannot store files, or server HTTP/HTTPS files. You could put the files in the /tftpboot directory of your S8300/S8400/S85XX/S87XX server and serve then out from there. you would have to use Port 81, as port 80 is not available.
