I'm not sure if I did this right or not...
When I do a "show flash", it says...
2501#show flash
System flash directory, partition 1:
File Length Name/status
1 2896172 cpa2500
[2896236 bytes used, 1298068 available, 4194304 total]
4096K bytes of processor board System flash (Read ONLY)
System flash directory, partition 2:
File Length Name/status
1 2896172 cpa2500
[2896236 bytes used, 1298068 available, 4194304 total]
4096K bytes of processor boar
I then TFTP'ed the upgrade image to partition #2, which erased everything on that partition. The show flash, then said this...
2501#show flash
System flash directory, partition 1:
File Length Name/status
1 2896172 cpa2500
[2896236 bytes used, 1298068 available, 4194304 total]
4096K bytes of processor board System flash (Read ONLY)
System flash directory, partition 2:
File Length Name/status
1 115672 cpa25-upgrade-l.112-3.P
[115736 bytes used, 4078568 available, 4194304 total]
4096K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)
Next, I did a...
2501(config)#boot system flash cpa25-upgrade-l.112-3.P
...followed by a reload. During the boot-up process, it said...
Performing upgrade on CiscoPro 2500...
Completed. Rebooting to Bootstrap Image...
Everything looks okay now (except for the fact that I'm booting from ROM), I just want to make sure that this was the proper way to do it? Also, what is the deal with the 2 flash partitions? Is there a point in that? I just deleted them with "no partition flash". This is just a test router so I don't care if I mess anything up
Thanks again Bryon,
Chris
