Hello,
Our adjacent tenant moved out and left us a Cisco 2980g switch (we are currently using on old Bay networks unmanaged 24 port switch). I have wiped the config on it and set it up to our gateway and it is working good on the status quo. I plan to remove our old Bay network switch and use the 2980 connecting our 2600 Router to port 1 then the remaining patch cables to the rest of the ports. I Would like to know if there is any other config setup I should do for the uplink port or remaining ports that will be used on this device. I know this device can do a ton of things Im just not too familiar on what is needed for this type of basic setup. If you could shed some light or suggestions I would appreciate it.
- thanks for your help
Steve
