CICS backup / restore question

If I have a backup of a CICS system on software 4.1 or 5.0 could I use that backup if the system were to be fried and the new one came with software 6.1 or 7.0?

sorry I should clarify what I mean. If I have a backup on my computer using a FastRad, from a system that was using 4.1 or 5.0. Could I use that same backup file on the newer 6.1 or 7.0
