CICS 6.1

I have a CICS 6.1 and every so often the phones start blinking for maybe 10 seconds then it's ok. Could this be caused by flaky s/w (PCMCIA card)?

Could be but sounds more like a bad power supply or interruption in power to unit. Do you have the system on a dedicated outlet or are you sharing?? I would make sure it's on a dedicated outlet and if problem continues, change out power supply.

I'd also say swap out the power supply first. It could also be a problem with the CICS motherboard.

Event 419 and 453 several times

Time and date changed and config programming entered.

I agree software or PS but I actually had one that was an old vintage line card that caused grief.

In case happens again or need my case with Line card was a CLID card and version ended with an E.

It hasn't happened since I put the 7.1 in. I may go back to 6.1 to see if it starts again.

Just an update, it went a couple of days with no problem, so I plugged the 6.1 back in and the problem came back. Guess that settles it.
Does anyone know, can the pcmcia card be repaired?
