This seems like a really simple thing to do, so maybe that's why searching here didn't find any help for this. But here's my situation.
We have a user who recently changed her marital status and wants to go back to using her maiden name for everything. Normally I would just go in and make the changes under the Users tab, but she has a ton of saved voicemail messages that I don't want to lose. I also don't want to have to reset her password. If I just rename her, it will create a new empty folder with the new name in the Accounts folder, and all of her messages will be inaccessible.
Can I simply rename her existing folder in Accounts with her new user name, and then change the User settings in IP Office to match? Or should I let IP Office go ahead and create the new folder, then copy all of the WAV files (saved VM messages) into the new folder? What would be the best way to do this without screwing anything up?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
