I have an IPO 500 (ver 5.0.8) it has 8 VMPro ports licensed, it has a SCN line to another IPO 500, the 2nd IPO 500 is configured for centralized VM off of the 1st IPO500. The 2nd unit shows 4 VM ports in it's resource list within SSA, but is not licensed for any VM ports, we are having VM port congestion issues with the 2nd IPO500 - where is it configured how many VM ports it can access at once? How would I increase this total to alleviate the congestion? TIA

If you have only 4 channels licensed for the SCN then you can only use 4 vm channels, you need to look at the licensing for the voice networking.
Also make sure you have the second site not set to use embedded.

2nd site is set as centralized, I have an 8 channel SCN between the 2 IPOs.

Is that licences for 8 channels in each system , or 4 in each system making a total of 8 ?

I have a fully licensed (and working) 8 channel SCN between the 2 IPOs.

Andy you are still awake? Let me guess the baby keeps you up ;-)

Do you have the channel allocation set in teh voicemail Administration - preferences

I don't see that setting in VMPRO/Administration/Preferences. In the main IPO that is licensed (8 Port) for VM Pro, in SYSTEM/VOICEMAIL, the channel reservation is 7 unreserved and 1 reserved for MB access.

in that case I am not sure why it would not work.
Make a test from the remote site and have as many people check their messages at once as you can get in.
You should get 8 people to be able to do so if nobody else is using a channel (SCN or VM) that way you know at what number it doesn't work and if you get all 8 then you have a bottleneck somewhere else, maybe too many incoming calls at once.

It should work:

Licenses: The central IP Office is licensed as normal for
Voicemail Pro operation and the voicemail features
required. The other IP Offices only require licenses for
UMS and or for ContactStore if required.

When you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.
