Hi all,
Definity G3si V12
I'm trying to migrate from serial connection to LAN in my call accounting system. Have C-LAN installed and working. Set output to CDR1 in "ip-services", in "sys cdr" set primary output as CDR1, format expanded and had CAS vendor to make changes in their software to IPlisten. CAS software saw the connection but could not get any data.
Is the solid way to verify that the data is coming out of the switch via LAN? Does it matter what port to send the data to?
Thank you

Try using port 5101 for your CDR.

5101 as the "remote port" in ip-services screen?

Yes that is how my MicroCall is set up.

I did that. When I restarted CAS (Cash+) it said port 5101 connected but did not show any data coming in and after a while (20-30 seconds)it looked like it has lost the connection, because it started to flash "waiting for connection." Vendors are puzzeled and they keep saying that this is the switch problem. Do you know the way to verify that the data is sent from the switch? Did I miss anything in "sys cdr" screen?
Thank you
It is easy when everything works...

Code:

This is how my system is set up capturing data through the C-LAN and connecting to MicroCall.

mikeydidit,

thanks, i found it. my spam fighter program gets too anxious sometimes. :) it's good to see you too.

Thank you, guys.
I changed "reliable protocol" to "no" and started to get some information. It does not look like it is in the right format, but at least I'm getting something I can work with.

mikydidit,
How can I post a screnshot from ASA?
Thank you

Highlight and copy. Then paste as a reply and use
Code:
to before and after use [/code ]. It keeps it somewhat uniform that way.

I can not see any way to highlight any information on the screen execept for only one fiel at a time.
Could it be because I'm using ASA 2.1.11.
Thanks

Try this. Go to the bottom of the page you are trying to copy and hold the left mouse button down and go to the left and up with it. It should highlight it for you. Then right click and hit copy.

Everything sounds right and works for any other window, but not for ASA. Could it be related to the default emulater setup?

Sounds like you are using "GEDI" instead of "START EMULATION". Copy wont work in GEDI.
