I'm Running Windows XP Pro and OE 6 SP1 (with a wireless
connection from my laptop). I Just switched Broadband
Service Providers.
Everything works fine, (as for
the the last 7 years)except that now I cannot send e-
mails (though I can receive them). When I try to send I
get the following error message:
"The message could not be sent because one of the
recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-
mail address was 'TPannam@team.primus.com.au'.
Subject 'Re: test email from helpdesk',
Account: 'pop.primus.com (1)',
Server: 'smtp.primus.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '550 RCPT TO:<x@team.primus.com.au>
Relaying not allowed', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"
Interestingly, I am able to send an e-mail to myself but
not to anyone else. I can send from my web mailbox (ie:
by logging into my ISP web mail via the internet, but not
from OE.
My ISP Support said all was fine on their end and that
my OE Mail Settings were fine. After hours on the phone
with them I was told to reinstall OE but that didn't work
either. I also disabled Norton's Internet Security.
Would appreciate any advice. (Could this have to do with
(Port: 25) issues. I hear that most servers are blocking
Port 25. I can receive email fine).
