Hi all,

I have a G650 which I removed from our patchcabinet because it was only used to emulate some analogue lines, which is now done by a G700.

Now I need to remove it from the system, but when I try to do so, (rem cab 3) it says 'cabinet has translation' and won't remove it.

How/where do I clear this translation so I can then remove the G650 from the system ?

Start with a "list config all". Make sure you dont have any circuit packs administered in those cabinets and if you do remove any programming for those.

A very wise and well respected man once told me "Shut Up!".

OK, there are some entries in the 'list config all' that refer to the cabinet I removed.

Do I remove these entries first ?
If so - how ? I cannot 'remove board'.

There's tone/clock, 2 clan's, a DS1 interface and a medpro, as well as two powersupplies.

All entries show up with vintage 'no board'....

You might be cble to do 'change circuit-pack 3' and remove the boards if there is noting assigned.

If there is a Signaling Group assigned to the DS-1 board, that has to be removed before you can remove the board.

For the DS-1 board; did you do 'remove ds1 [slot]'?

The C-LAN & Medpro boards will have to be removed using the 'remove ip-inetrface [slot]' command. If the C-LAN boards are assigned processor interface links they will have to be removed first.
