We are running Win 2000 Prof. on our PC. We had to reinstall it recently, and now the system does not show the Network card. I was on the phone with our internet provider support (cox cable modem) and we were able to get the internet and Outlook Express to work. The next day, we tried to connect to the internet and were getting a message that there is no internet connection. Provider support said I need to re-install the network card, but we no longer have support with Gateway. Anyone know how to get me up and running again?

neeko1226,

If running the 'Add New Hardware' wizard doesn't work, I would go to Gateway's site:-

Type in your serial number, select Windows 2000 and look for INF drivers and/or NIC card drivers. Drop the NIC drivers on a floppy from another machine. You will likely need to load the INF drivers and then reboot, your card should be detected by Plug & Play. If it asks for drivers, load then from the floppy.

If you still stumped, drop your Serial Number here and I'll look for you.
