Cannot send or recv with Outlook Express 5.5 1

A new employee assumed a old employees machine in a small business. Her Identity settings where applied and all was well for the first week until yesterday. Now she cannot send or recv. After clicking the send/recv button the details message box appears for a split second... and ... nothing. I have confimred setting and even a few restarts. Need a fresh pair of eyes...ANY SUGGESTIONS?

P.S. an oddity: the outbox show 1 msg, but not there, just a "cannot display page" message in the display frame.

Have you tried deleting the account and setting it up again? joegz

No, however after just spending time attempting to reseach the subject at Microsoft, I will review the e-mail server port settings, deleting any duplicate or un-necessary identities, and then do as you suggested. If those are not exceptable solutions, i'll just unistall and reinstall the application. It appears that nothing I have found is truely specific to the Problem (I mean... opprotunity) and may not be recoverable in any event. However!!!, thats not scheduled until Friday... Still open to suggestions. [someone knows]
