I am trying to remove an EPN from a MCC cabinet, I was able to remove other boards however when I still show no board. I have added the boards back to the switch and nothing happens I disable the ethernet and then remove the ip-interface and I still show this when I do li config port network. PLEASE HELP!!

SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

Board Assigned Ports
Number Board Type Code Vintage u=unassigned t=tti p=psa

07B01 TONE/CLOCK no board
07B19 IP MEDIA PROCESSOR no board u u u u

Try this command:

change circuit-packs <cabinet-number>

This may help you remove them from programming.

I tried that and still have the no board listed. Should I actually remove the board from the cabinet?

I think you have to remove the board before you use the change circuit-packs command.

It's been a while since I've removed an EPN...

Let me try that would that also affect the tone/clock also?

I'm not sure.

The tone/clock card can be inserted into only one slot. The system assumes that it's where it is, and it really can't be removed.

no board conditions means that the carrier / board does not see a circuit pack. If a complete carrier or cabinet shows this, you can remove all programming from the boards, then use change circuit-pack x (where "x" is the cabinet number)
blank out the boards and submit.

all programming includes anything related to the board or ports on the board. If you cannot blank out a pack within the change circuit-pack x form, then you have not removed all the associated programming for that board.

After all slots on all pages of change-circuit x are blank, you can remove the cabinet.

Ok I was able to remove it from circuit change-circuit x but it still shows

what could be the problem? Am I missing something?

busy the fiber link, remove the fiber link, remove the cabinet.

what is the switch telling you when you try to run these commands? is this an S8700 or a G3r?

change circuit-pack 7 and these will be on page 2.

once removed, list config will not show them any longer.
