Good Day all,

I have a system installed which uses a mix of 1600 series AVAYA telephones and Polycom SoundPoint 331's. I have a weird problem with the Polycom telephones that they will follow the coverage path and hit Audix but you cannot leave a message. Callers get a message "Welcome to Audix...(at this point they will be asked to enter their extension)

Any Ideas why this could be happening?

Those are SIP phones:
Likely they are on an SES or Session Manager system, and you are missing entries in your ISDN Public (or private) forms so that the audix gets the extension # of the phone, so it doesn't know who's voicemail the call is for, that's an integration issue.

Hi Mitch, Can you guide me though doing this? I had another engineer setup the system core while I setup these telephones are at a remote office. Unfortunately I have only got training for the CM platform and not for session manager so I'm somewhat clueless.

It might be on the CM side. Look at your public or private numbering, do you see entries for the "trunk group" that is used for messaging (or a SIP trunk group to Session Manager), that are "4" digits (if your switch uses 4 digit extensions numbers, for example). Then all you need to do is add the ranges of these SIP extensions to send their extension #'s through to the audix, the issue is the audix is not getting the extension #, so it's acting "non-integrated"

in the example below, trunk group "99" is used for audix/MM/AAM, there are entries to send calls through with 4 digits, that's how it picks up the extension #.
