Cannot find DID number 2

On our option 11C, one user here has an M2616 phone, with ext 122, and 622 as his second line. He also has the DID number 555-6610 mapped to his phone, which works fine. However, he will occasionally receive a call from a fax machine on his 2nd line (622) only, sent to 555-6622. However, when I PRT the IDC in LD 49, I get the following:

I cannot find where 555-6622 is mapped. What am I missing here?

does he have lhk on his set? might be hunting up the key.. when you print 662, it shold show the marp.. check your acd's, might have an acd ncfw to 662, or a station forward to 622, as well as a fax machine forward/hunt to 662.. i would capture a tnb, then search for 662, see where else it appears in the data base...

is the Telco sending the last 3 digits (ie:622) If so thats why it rings on ext 622

This does list an LHK of 1, but I have no idea what that means.

The fax machine that is sending to x 622 is outside the company, so this cannot be reached by just dialing 3 digits.

I think I printed out the entire ACD list (LD 23), but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

I think ace hit it. Telco is sending the xxx-xx622 and since you don't have 622 going anywhere in the IDC table then it is looking for extension 622.

You subscribe to the DID range 555-6620 thru at least 555-6629. This is evident from 626 being mapped to 626 (which does not need to exist in that table)

IDC is only needed when the DID numbers are different than the DNs on the phone. In this case, the users DN of 622 is the same as the DID number, so the call is presented to him when dialed - IDC is not needed for that to occur

So our telephone company has assigned the number 555-6622 to another company (which they use for a fax machine), but still have it forwarded to us as part of our original 6601 - 6630 block? Does something like this happen often? Seems like the Telco is taking too many liberties and being incredibly careless.

You call the number it should hit your phone with extension 622 on it. This number is part of your DID range. There are 2 things you could do to stop this.
1) Use the IDC table to point this DID to another extension (fax)
2) Change the phones 2nd key to another extension.

I'm sorry, I misread the previous post.

I did not know that our system would automatically forward a number in our block without having a DID assignment.

Since our PBX is working the way it should, I'll just try tracking down the person who is sending faxes to the wrong number.

Have the person at extension 622 answer the call then forward it to a fax machine on your system.

We did forward one of the calls to a fax machine, and I have contacted the sender to update her contacts with the correct phone number, which I'm sure she'll forget about. If this continiues to happen, I will just change this persons 2nd line to a different ext, and be done with it.
