Cannot Dial out.

This is happening at least once a day. I’m using auth codes, When a user wants to dial out they enter their codes. They can dial out no problem. But intermittently it is if the whole switch just blocks all phones. When they want to dial out using their auth codes they get routed to the switch board operators. No one can dial out. At This stage the only way we are getting past this problem is to do a manual reset. The system reboots problem solved. What can be causing this problem
 
sounds like all your outbound trunks are busy during peak traffic. i would stat my trunks to make sure i wasn't having a blockage

I'd call my local and LD providers and make sure I was not getting hacked. If all the trunks are tied up on tandem calls I'd be worried.
 
i've tandem is allowed. i'd worry, do some ld 80 trad commands to check

If you are using Attendant consoles make sure the trunk group is not being busied out by the Attendant. Left row of keys on the 2250, ICI keys. Used to default so route 0 to 9 were on that row. Is now programable in ATT data block. If the lite is blinking the trunk group is busied by the Attendant.
 
I would investigate if you have enough DTR cards. Each card can process 16 stations dialing at the same time on large systems.

dtr would fail before the dialed digits, usually just a delay before you get dial tone

My mistake. they arenot the ICI Keys but, I think, the RICI keys. Sorry for any confusion. ICI Incoming Call Indicator
 
All the Trunks are open and free. When you do a trace in ld 80 you can put the number you want to dial but it just put the 2 for the attendants in. I removed a IPE shelf that was not used and removed a music route. Cold started the switch for the last 2 days no problem. It seems that when 2 many things are configured the memory get full.
 
?? not usually a problem. might be a reg blockage. when do you get the busy signal?

Did you remove the MOH on the routes? What does the console show? on the far Left row.
