Hi
Just tried to install NT Workstation 4 on a desktop machine using a CD I've never used before. When I boot NT for the first time to complete the 2nd half of the setup I get a error message saying

STOP c000026c cannot load wdvga.sys

after looking at articles from MS on the topic, (and re-installing) it seems I need a program called rdisk.exe which will make me up a ERD which I can replace practically an system file with. The problem is that its not on this CD and do't have any other NT workstations to copy it from. Help please! :)

You might have faulty memory modules or CD-rom drive.

Or you can always try to copy that cd and try to make another copy of it and give it another try.

Thanks guys - it was faulty RAM. I'd call that "hole in one!"

I'm sorted - cheers! :-D
