I have a Windows 98 client running on a Window 2000 network. The performance of the PC degraded. I noticed the error message "Drive D is using MS-Dos compatibilty mode file system".
I checked device manager but nothing is reported amiss there. I also ran MSConfig and looked at config.sys file...nothing to find.
I noticed that the hard drive is formatted with two logical drives. I can open drive c and everything is fine. However, when I select drive d I get there error, access denied. Thanks for the help.
