i renamed the catroot2, catroot... directory and try, but nothing

some idea will be apreciate,

I had the same problem. The only way I could fix the problem was to restore Windows XP.

Howdy:

Did you disable System Restore FIRST and then run the patch and clean out your system using fixblast??

If you didn't, everytime you reboot, the msblast worm will be re-installed through System Restore files..

From what I have seen on this error:

1. Check your computer date and time. They must be correct or this error will be thrown.

2. You have to have SP1 installed.

3. Delete c:\windows\system32\catroot2

4. Check that the cryptographic service is in fact running. Start, Run, services.msc and check the service.

5. This Group Policy Object can be set incorrectly to only Administrators:

Start, Run, gpedit.msc

Allow the following users to select trusted publishers The default is "End users." Make sure it is not any other value.

Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer.
