Can not get Avaya ip softphone to connect to Definity

Have Definity G3siv12. Both medpro, tn2302 and clan, tn799 are installed. Clan is working as can access SAT via ip. Can not connect to the Definity via Avaya IP Softphone application.

Is the station you are trying to register as setup for Softphone? Do you have the license on your PBX? Do a display capacity (page 11 ) should list how many IP_Soft licenses you have.

Try a different CLAN if you have one.... I had a similar issue where I could not register to a 2nd Clan. Tier3 was no help... In the end a reset 4 cleared the issue and I was able to use the 2nd CLAN to register IP softphones.

capacity shows 5 available, non registered. Have not tried another Clan yet. I have done a cold start of the Definity, no change.

Each station needs to be set to allow IP Softphone. On the first station screen set "IP SoftPhone" to Y and on the second station screen, set "Multimedia Mode" to Enhanced. You also have to assign the station a security code (screen 1) and use that as the login password.

Yes, done all that. Created the first station as h.323. softphone = y. Second extension as x port, security code of 12345678, enhanced multimedia, service link "as needed

This might be my problem, does the CLAN, TN799 have to be a B/C or DP? I am using just a TN799 plain.

Hi,

Station type must be 4620 and softphone enable or 6416d+ or anything with softphone but not h323. port must be ip or X

H.323 is for Interactive Response or third party softphone if enable
