We have a few trunk groups on our G3si. Trunks 11 and 12 are ISDN PRI's (for a total of 46 channels). Trunk 4 is a group of Centrex lines (one main number and 7 rollovers). We want to take the main number from trunk 4 and port it to the PRI...only we need to have it re-route back to POTS lines in the event of a circuit failure. Our service provider said they want us to take some members out of one of the PRI trunk groups and create a new one-that way when they set up the failover on their end, only the main number that is being ported over from trunk group 4 will be re-routed to the backup POTS-and not all of the DID's that usually ring to groups 11 and 12. I've taken some members out of trunk group 12, and created a new trunk group (14). I also adjusted the dial plan to include the last four digits of the number being ported (3131) and set up the hunt group it will go to. As long as the provider sets up the channels/routing appropriately on their end, will this work? Thanks.
