Can 5410 phone show if someone else is online? 2

A secretary wants to know when her boss is on the phone.

Apparently she doesn't want to answer the calls, she just wants an LCD to light up when her boss has a call.

I gave her a coverage key, but she says that won't show that he's on the phone.

In the Nortel world what she wants is called a busy lamp field. Is it possible to do this with a IP500 and a 5410 phone, just for one line?

Program a button on her phone as "User" and select the boss in the drop down. It will indicate then on her display when he is on the phone or has DND on.

Create a user button under button programming, will show a line under name when he is busy.

That's a little simpler than all the junk I was trying to make it work.

(I do all of this stuff remotely. Maybe one day I'll actually get to see what I'm doing.)
