My customer just started having a problem retrieving her saved messages in their Call Pilot 100. This is the receptionist on ext 21.

The display reads "6 saved messages", but when she presses 6 to play them, it just cuts off to dial tone as if there are none. I tried leaving a message and having her save the new message by pressing 77. The display indicated the new saved message ("7 saved messages"), but it cannot be retrieved by pressing 6.

The other sets work fine.

Anyone familiar with this issue?

not faced this problem but 2 cents

make sure the class of service, user interface is the same as a working mailbox

Are you sure she's not hearing a message of recorded dial tone and mistaking that for intercom dial tone. Have her press delete while listening to the dial tone.

I walked the user through doing this, and could hear the prompts. After entering the password, the prompts started- "press 2 for new messages, ---press 6 for saved messages". I told her to press 6, she di, and it dropped to dial tone, just as it does when there are no messages (new or saved).

Either there is a problem, or the messages are stored elsewhere, requiring a different access digit(s).

I can't explain why the CP 100 voicemail acted the way it did when the user pressed 6, but when I went onsite, it looked obvious to me to press "play" under the display, after logging in.

When I pressed "play" the display read "playing saved message", and worked fine. I chalked this one up to user error.

Thanks
