If I setup extension 1234, and this extension does not even have a phone connected to it and I want all calls that ring extension 1234 to automatically go to extension 5678, What command would I use to set this up?

you can either connect the phone and activate call forwarding or setup a coverage path. though forwarding works faster.

type "add cover p n (make a note of the number), in point1 type 5678, type Y for All? for inside and outside calls.

Type change st 1234, on page 1 in the cover path1 fiels enter the cover path number you just created.

I gave my phone console permission, it's on the cos form. Cha cos and then put a y for one of the cos numbers, then assign this cos number to your station on page 1. This way if you have to forward a phone (hardware assigned or not) you can do it right from your desk. Once you have console permissions on your phone put in the fac for forwarding, in my case call forward is *2 then the number you want to forward, then the number to forward to. In this case *2 1234 5678. You should hear a confirmation tone. To stop the call forward do #2 and then the numbers.
