One of our executives wants the ability to send an incoming call to his voice mailbox at his discretion. The phone is set up in a "normal" manner with coverage to voice mail after 4-5 rings. When a call comes in, he wants to look at the caller ID and decide whether to take the call or not. Is it possible to configure a button on his set, that he can press to force a ringing call to go immediately to voicemail without waiting for the coverage path to kick in?

set up a "send-calls" button and when he presses it it will follow the cover path defined for the station. He will have to deactivate it after the calls goes to voice mail.

Seconding what Tolson said - a send-calls button engaged for a few seconds will send an actively ringing call to coverage.

If he has a newer series phone (9600's for example), the user can push the Ignore or Vmail buttons while the phone is ringing. This will perform the same effect.
