As I understand , call coverage should be an immediate ring on the covering extension. Is that the same if the coverer or the covering ext is an off site IP phone?

I am trying to have an IP phone cover another IP phone. It only rings 1 time on the covering ext before it goes to the main ext's voice mail.

No, it doesn't ring at the covering extension immediately. The delay is controlled by the "Individual Coverage Time" setting of the user beign covered.

The default for that is 10 seconds and since the default for no-answer time/allocated answer interval is 15 seconds that does mean only a 5 second period of actual coverage (ie. typically a single ring depending on your locales ring pattern).

Best action is to lower the users Individual Coverage time to 5 seconds and raise their no answer time to 20.
