Bogen ADP1 and IP Office 2

I am trying to figure out if Bogen's ADP1 door speakerphone will work in an IP Office proposal without a controller, I have seen the Avaya Door Phone and Controller that is programmed as a trunk however I was wondering if I can use just the door phone and skip the controller altogether. Bogen's manual says to connect the door phone to an analog port programmed for ring down operation but I cannot find anything related to ring down in the analog extension. I am also wondering how do you make it ring a hunt group when somebody pushes the button? It should be able to dial something or am I wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In the user for the phone create a shortcodes

Dial extension
123

That will dial immediately 123 as soon as the loop is detected
