Does anyone know where one can find the best price on AUTHORIZED Avaya Definity boards, cabinets, and Intuity Audix? I can install myself but want to put the items on coverage without having to certify them. Ie, no gray market. I have some local sources but wonder if this is the only choice out there. I would prefer to buy online if I can save 1/2 to 1/3 over local providers. Once again I can install myself and don't need to pay premium prices I hope.

The more I learn the more I find I know nothing.

you might check out metroline.com
we have pruchased phones etc from them in the past without incident.
i cannot tell you whether or not they are 'authorized' but i've not felt that they were shift or underhanded.

Hope this doesn't break any forum rules, however here is my contact for new/refurbs etc..
(972) 221-0484 ask for Robert.

In the past I have found it cheaper to buy from the secondary market and have Avaya certify them. You can check out prices with Control House, Universal Capitol. They consistantly come in low bid for me.

Our purchaser has used CDW as a supplier and they claim to be an Avaya Partner

My experience with CDW was they were always higher than my other contacts and kept sending us high glossy advertising in full color/thick paper (very expensive to publish) telling us how inexpensive they were.

I have good experience shopping between a1teletronics
and empire technologies

Just my two cents :)

I have found the TRCA offers low prices for unused equipment and will also do price matching. They also have a wide selection of equipment and have been able to come up with all equipment requested. Which is my biggest problem with business partners. It seems to me that they have the mind set that they are the only ones that can install this equipment. I also use 1Nation Technology. Great prices but don't offer everything. There are also many more. All will save cost over Avaya and or their business partners. Plus all offer a better and longer warranty on the equipment they sell.

Thanks for all of the replies. I found a Platinum reseller that has great prices and wonder if any of you have tried them. Anybody ever buy from them? I don't want to find a small reseller in west virginia. I need a company that will be around and can answer the phone when I call. But also has a competitive price because they sell large quantities. Something like costco for telecommunications.

The more I learn the more I find I know nothing.

I have used Sourec several times in the past? Do you have an account rep or do you need a recommendation for a great one at Source?

I have never tried buying this way, since we generally have to go through our State's contract list, but when I was taking a course at Sumaria a while back the instructor said that he finds equipment and buys it on Ebay of all places. I did a search one day and there were many things from boards to phone sets on Ebay and many sold for reasonable prices. You might look there. Though being you are buying for a business you may not be able to do it that way. I know I can't, but it was interesting to see even that stuff there.
