My Backup Exec server is protected with Windows Firewall on one of the interfaces. When i try to backup through that interface i receive an error message. If i turn off the firewall everything works fine.
Anyone have any ideas on how i should configure my Windows Firewall to get the backup working?

I've already read that one. The thing is that you cant define a range scope in windows firewall. Or am i wrong?

It's Windows 2003 server's built in firewall.

enabled port 10000 /TCP and also allowed beremote.exe on the media server (where the firewall is active) and still doesn't work.

If i run a test run it runs ok. But when i run the actual job it fails.

Have you debugged the remote agent and and job engine?

Also, in you job setup are there muliple NIC on the media server?

what do you mean with debugged?

Yes, there are multiple NIC's. In this job i specify it to run on the interface which i want it to run on.
