AVPP shows "unsupported classmark" for 3641 phones

Reading TB135 it looks like I have the proper firmware on both my AVPP and my 3641 phones but I am unable to complete a test call, the phone just gives a fast busy. SSA shows the phone connected with an extension number, name, MAC, but shows "unsupported classmark" as the phone type. My firmwares are:

IPO R7.0.5
3641 / 3645 Telephone Firmware 117.056
Avaya Voice Priority Processor (AVPP) Firmware 17x.039
WSS 2350 Version: 7.1.6.3.0
AP 2332-A1 Version: ???

Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve?

In the 3641 do you have "IP Office" enabled? I think it's under network settings? I just set one up and had the same thing until I enabled that setting, rebooted the phone and it showed up.

That was it thanks. I was reading it wrong I thought "enable IP Office" meant that it was enabled.

I'll be dag nabbed but I have been struggling with this exact same issue for a week. I have an IPO 500 R4.1(12) and a 3641 phone. The AVPP is the exact same firmware as yours. We have a Cisco enterprise AP. The IP phone firmware is 117.053. Like you we can not access a line, only get a fast busy and the status app shows unsupported classmark as the phone type. Can you send me a copy of that TB? I will verify that I have IP Office enabled but I may have a firmware issue as well.

I can see that the 'IP Office Enable' feature is not even in this phone. No wonder I missed it. Clearly the firmware is outdated even though it is only a minor revision off. Lesson learned - don't even think about installing these phones until everything is up to date.

Agreed with the correction. Now that I've spent a bunch of time playing with them, though, I want our salesmen to sell them. Make it worth my while ;-)
