Being old school and not being able to punch this down and go is going to kill me. What i need to do is configure a ata to ring and trigger a bell on an existing P.A. system at a fire department. Sip endpoints is nothing I'm familiar with but its become my responsibility to make it work. Any insight on setting up the endpoint would be greatly appreciated. I'm using the avaya session manager for setup but im missing something. Do i need to setup a sip entity for the user? If so again any insight would be great.

an entity is another sip signalling sytstem , you need to set up a user in system manager get it to register , with domain , location (ish) and adaptations if required then you need a dial plan , what you require old lad is a lab set up to test and traceSM and traceSM100 you ssh in to the security module of the session manager to run those commands .... if you get lucky post your results ... personal opinion SR with Avaya
