Am I the only one that has noticed since Avaya sent out the "ACIS Certification required by September 30 or risk losing your Avaya authorization" email back in August, there's been a significant uptick in questions on these forums that are really quite basic, and certainly not something you'd expect to see from an ACIS certified technician?

Makes me question why I took Avaya seriously and picked up my ACIS.

To be honest, awarding the credentials does not make you a well informed engineer. Only experience does do tha.
The number of RTFM questions rose from the moment Avaya decided to put the knowledgebase behind a SSO account and now they have put tech support behind IPOSS so you cannot log problems with Avaya if you customer does not have a IPOSS contract.
It all comes down to money and if you want to compete other brands then adding IPOSS to a offer will give you a bad position as a competetor as other brands are a lot cheaper. So engineers are forced to find alternative sources of information and this forum has proven to be a good source. I can't blaim them for that, I would walk the same road.

A simple mind delivers great solutions
