Avaya IP office Licence

Hello Sir....I am having Avaya Ip office 500 v2 8.1 with 5 Endpoint Licences, if i want to add more 5 end point licences, as now the version is 9. If i am purchasing is it compulsory to upgrade to 9 or directly i can add the licence.

A end point is an end point meaning they re not specific to software revisions.

Indeed, Avaya have a very annoying habit in their ordering codes of saying an item is a "Release X End Point" license, but the actual license that goes into the configuration works for any release.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
