hi,

ip dect extensions say unknown admm handset in ip office manager extension lists.

ip office version: 4.0.14
local Saudi Arabia (UK English)
ip dect base station version: 1.1.11

i upgraded the ip dect phones with serial cable to 1.1.11
but again ip office can not see the ip dects,

how can ip dects register themselves to ip office,
please help me.
thanks
serhan

i could subscribe the ip dects to the ip office with ipei number.but ip office can not know the ip dect.

please help me about this subject, if there is anything you cannot understand, i can tell you the problem.

thanks
serhan

The best way is to enable Auto-Create Extension on the Gateway tab of the IP Dect line you have created. With this enabled the system will automatically create an IP Dect Extension and associated user once you have subscribed the phone. Then you can always go back in and rename the user's without requiring a reboot. Keep in mind that an IP Dect extension is different from an IP extension.

This is normal as i told Umut, in Manager the IP Dect handsets will show as "unknown ADMM handsets".
This does not mean the phones will not work, actually it has no impact at all on the system.

hi, thank you for your answers, i can not create any extension automatically with enabling Auto-Create Extension checkbox on the ip dect gateway tab.
and also i have this warning message,
the extension number '9411' is reserved by the delta server,
anybody knows this error message, some extensions like 94XX is reserved by delta server, like 40XX isnt reserved by delta server, are these two things related eachothers, reserved by delta server and cannot auto create extensions,
but i can not create auto extensions again when i subscribe an ip dect phone number like 4000 which isnt reserved by delta server.
i uninstalled the delta server, but extensions still reserved by delta server,

help please
thanks

You should not use extension in the 8000 nor 9000 range as these are both reserved. Additionally if you are using 9N to dial outbound you shouldn't be using any extensions that start with a 9.

Have you licensed your base stations? When you subscribe your phones do you get a successful attempt on the phone itself? The subscription is independent of the connection to the IP Office.

yes, there is a route to the ip dect base station to ip office,

the secondary dial tone line is 0, this is not a problem,
reserved lines are not a problem, because in number 4000 we still can not call anywhere,

yes these are licenced.
we can leave voicemails to that extensions, so i think ip dects can talk with manager and manager can transfer these voicemails to the voicemail folder of these accounts.

and i can not see any logs in system monitor related these ip dects.

thanks

Are the base stations being shown as synchronised ? (two green ticks)

Have you inputed the CS (call server) and created a ip trunk ??

Are any of the Dect handsets working ??

there is only one base station.
yes i created an ip trunk and wrote avaya's ip address in it.
handsets subscribed but anyone can not dial anywhere.

thanks
serhan

do you get dial tone on the phones?

if you look on the admm do the handsets show as subscribed?

Hi Serhan,

Check the following:
in IPO:
VCM card in IP Office?
DECT IP Trunk with correct IP Address to ADMM basestation?
Gatekeeper enabled in System > LAN1 or LAN2

In ADMM
Basestation in a area?
IP Line to IPO in the same Area?
Basestation in the same subnet as IPO? If not add a router ip address in the ADMM config.

hi,
VoiceonData
no there is no dial tone,
yes handsets show as subscribed.

intrigrant
vcm ok.
in ip dect admm base station ip is ok.
gatekeeper enabled ok.

in admm yes both of them in the same area and in the same subnet.

hi intrigrant,

in gatekeeper tab
h323 gatekeeper enable
h323 auto-create extension
h323 auto-create user
these are unticked,

should i tick that for ip dects?

ok intrigrant thank you very much, gatekeeper settings solve the problem.

thanks
serhan
