Can the baud rate of the Internal Modem on the Avaya Definity G3 be set? If so, how is that done?

Pretty sure they were just a default speed. (Been a long time ago now) but If I remember right, somewhere around V6 - V8 speeds jumped from 2400 baud to 9600.

You should have no problem setting your originating modem speed to highest or lower baud rate
to adjust conditions for noise on bad analog lines (yours or the pbx), then successful handshake, and login:
prompt, etc.
