Hello guys,

Do you know if the Avaya 96XX Sip phones are compatible with CS1000 7.5 ?
What are the requirements ? CS1000 + SIP Line Gateway and SIP3 User Lic ? CS1000 + Session manager ? CS1000 + Session Manager + CM evolution server ?

I'm bit lost.
Thanks for your help
regards

The 96xx IP Deskphone with SIP software is not compatible with CS 1000 + SIP Line Gateway or CS 1000 + Session Manager. Your last configuration is possible with the caveat that the 9600 would get features from the CM ES and not the CS 1000.

I've been able to use the 96xx on an Asterisk platform.....I wonder if any features would work with the CS1000? With this SIP stuff, you never know until you try. I was told by Avaya that this phone would only work on a Call Manager platform, but so far I've used it on 2 different Non Avaya SIP networks.

Actually here was the short way I set it up, and you could always try it and see what happens. Make sure SIP firmware is loaded into the phone.

I went into to SIP settings on the phone itself.

Changed the IP address to my UCx phone system:

Then I simply created an extension under my UCx GUI, similar to Element Manager.

Created a Usernmae and Password,

Logged the Username and Password into the phone and the phone connects....

I don't know the details behind CS1000 SIP though.....I actually personally prefer Unistim.....

Forcetranquille Hi, one question. You have programmed phone model 1220. I really want to know if you run the fixed key and redial Confence.
