Hello All,

I have a customer with an Avaya 9611 IP Phone that keeps Randomly Restarting a few times a day.

I have swapped out the phone with a New Avaya 9611 and PoE Injector - Issues still Persisted.

I have swapped Switch Ports and Patch Cables - Issues still Persisted.

They Have Plenty IP End Point Licenses

They are Running R 9.1.8

This is a Remote Location that Talks to Main Via a Wireless Directional WiFi Connection

This Remote Location has 7 Phones - With only this one having issues.

Suggestions on what to do next? I may Completely Delete the Extension and re-create.

Thank you.

Rule 1 of Voip - It is ALWAYS the data network

that would be my 1st target for investigation

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

IPGuru: I advised them to take the actual phone that is having reboot issues directly to the network switch at the main building. Once they see it does not re-boot, contact your networking guys. :)

Is there a way I can see if the phone is restarting while I have the customer patch it in at the Main Network Switch (No one will be there to watch the phone)

I have IPPhoneStatus up from SysMonitor and I am showing the Trouble Extension has:
- 41 Registrations
- 1 ErrorURQ
- 39 ExistURQ

Although I am not really sure what those mean.

Okkie26: With What Perimeter? "Last Date and Time License Allocated"?

In system status you can check the H323 status.
But you need to look at it.

What you can do is setup the SMTP in Manager, and then set an alarmaction with 'phone change' to your email address.

Okkie26: Thank you - The only issue is the required reboot when entering in SMTP Info/ System Events. Why Avaya...Why...

Because it's a network thing.

But you can try to merge the setting, and it will probaply work.

Okkie26: That worked, thank you for your input.
