Auto intercom call pickup

Hi..I have a Nortel Norstar system, DR5,just a small key system with 1 phone line, and I would like to use the intercom and have the called station go off hook automaticaly and be handsfree. It seems I got it to work that way once but now can't find the option.

Use F66 to voice call the intended station.

Great.. Feature 66 works but how do I make that permanent so I can just pick up phone, push intercom, dial station number and have it go off hook hands free without me doing feature *66 ??

Why not just program a button with F66? Then you just push that button and dial the ext. and you have two-way handsfree.

You can't. Do as PainOfDeath suggested. Then you press the feature button and dial the extension.

If it makes you more comfortable, change the button cap to an intercom button, but the actual programming on that button is f*66.
