ARCServe Backup Program not running daily scheduled backup

I am running ARCServe backup ver. 11 on an HP Proliant server running Windows 2003 Small Business Edition. I have the program scheduled to do regular backups each night onto a 72GB tape, but it hasn't backed up. The program activity log says each day that "Job can't be started. Check device/group/ media availability", even though there is a tape in the drive. Does this mean the tape has run out of storage space? Otherwise, why isn't the daily backup working?

Also check your device page, reached by clicking on quick start and then device. Your backup device should be on here. You may have to expand the scsi card listing (there will be a plus sign next to it.) When you click on your backup device it should show the information such as tapename and group name.
Make sure the group name (group0, group1, etc)matches the destination in the backup job.
