Hi,
We run Remedy Client 5.0.1 via Citrix clients in a server farm in Asia pacific. We have a problem in that because Australia changes later than other AP countries (and some other AP countries don't change at all), we are faced with a choice of either running our clients on Australian time, and messing up all other AP countries timezones, or Running on Singapore time (Where our AP datacenter is), and accepting that Oz is 1 hour out for 6 months of the year

Doesn't MetaFrame XP go by client date/time by default unless you ignore the client time?

I know I've turned this feature off due to crap clocks on remote workers PC's.

Cheers,
Carl.

Thanks for the reply Ogi,
Our problem is unfortuantely caused by the fact that we are serving multiple timezones from a single farm. Thus people in multiple timezones access a single published application (in this case Remedy Client). This is handled in our EU farm by having different .ini files for different publication names for the same app. However this won't work in the AP scenario as Australia uses the same published application name (Hard coded into image! as other countries). I guess we are inevitably faced with having to allow client time input unless anyone can propose anything clever with Zoning in the farm?

Hi,

What version of OS & Citrix are you using?

Cheers,
Carl.

Hi Ogi, We're running Metaframe XP, on W2K - SP4
