any way to have filemaker print certain record twice and another not?

Make a global field that hold your 'x' to print.
Put your printscript inside a loop with 'exit loop if - your counter = 0
For info using the loop function see online FM help.
You can also 'copy' the 'to print' area in a same layout, but I prefer the 'looptechnique'.
