All internet lost

Hello,

I have recently used my laptop for the first time in 6 months. While logged in as myself, a dial-up connection can't be made, keeps coming up with usewrname and password error, however I know these are correct as they work when logging in as a different user.

Also, even when logged in as a different user, no internet programs will work, one of the times I was connected to the net, I had a look at the server IP and it was showing as 0.0.0.0.

Any ideas??

When faced with the password issue it is best to delete the connectoid and recreate it anew. It is possible there is some corruption in your user profile as well.

In addition, your Winsock Service stacks seem corrupted. This is one explanation for an IP of 0.0.0.0. The other explanatiion is that you did not make a succesful connection. Try this tool to repair your Winsock service:

If you need to redo the user profile, as Administrator add a new user, then copy the data portions of your old profile to the newly created user profile:
