We've recently added a number of extensions to our IP Office that have not yet been assigned employees. Rather than construct "Guest" users for each extension, we're leaving them as "Please Log In"... which works fine for us for now.

Is there any way for these extensions to be included in the office paging?

I would not go over 16 members in a paging group. That may change if I knew what unit you had, but 16 I think is safe for all the units.

If a extension has the NoUser on it than you cannot add it into a paging group, only normal users can be added into the paging group.

why page phone that are not used ????

To further the reach of the page. Lots of people are always running around our office ... everthing helps.

if they are running around the office they are not working :)
but the paging is limited and if you need more then use a paging system and connect it to the ipoffice

We've had much success using the built in paging, broadcasting to ~50 extensions across multiple floors.

406 v2 with several digital expansion modules... running v3.2(55)

412 limit is 24, the rest 16 for 3.2 as limit for members in paging group supported. 4.0 SOE is 16 in group, and each larger capacity control unit step up adds another 16. SOE-16, 406V2-32, 412-48, 500-64

Your supported limit would be 16, it may work with more, and honestly it does, but if you have issues Avaya will point there first. You can however create multiple groups, and break the users into different ones. I am working on a work around for it now.
