Adding a Ringdown

How would you program a ringdown on a Merlin system so that a user can hit a button & it ring the far end?

Well, are you trying to originate the RING DOWN Functionality on a LEGEND, or are you just trying to terminate a CENTRAL OFFICE Provided Ring Down Circuit on the Legend?

i'm trying to copy a personal co line on an Avaya, its a trader so the line is a point to point to another trader somewhere else.

Just assign the line to the extension.

Menu > System Program > Exit > Extensions > Lines & Trunks > Dial Extension Number > press ENTER > press the Button representing the LINE.

but how do i make it a line? do i plug into the analog card & just give it a dummy number

Well, what is it terminated on now?

The old 2 wire ring down circuits were just a loop start, auto ring circuit.

So as I asked, how is it connected & what is it connected to?

IF it is a regular loop start auto ring circuit, yes, you will connect it to a loop start line port on the Legend.
