I have several reports developed in Crystal 8.5 that I have published in Crystal Enterprise 8.

The Database Administrator has added passwords (using NT authentication) to the databases. Now, my reports are prompting the users for "user name and passwords". Despite the fact the users type in their user names and passwords, the reports are not working.

I spoke with Crystal Solutions a few weeks back and they told me that I could stop the Pageserver and run it "manually" from a dos prompt as a temporary fix. This is working for now, but I have to be logged into the server with Administrative rights and have the dos window open and running the Page server manually.

Is there a more permannent fix for this?

Thanks,

Leo ;-)

Try this it might work. Verify the database in CR8.5 and save the reports. Go into CE8.0 and delete the offending reports. Republish them using Crystal Reports publisher and see if that helps. I have found that the refresh of the stored report doesn't update the report page in CE.
