Hi Everyone,

I'm sure I am making a real dumb mistake and I'll kick myself for not figuring it out...but here goes.

I have an Intuity audix LX R 1.1. I am trying to access it via IP, and am sucessful in that - I am able to login, and click my way to the messaging admin option, then Java starts the Messaging Administration Page. Then I am asked to provide login info (again) which is normal. But when I do I get:

Login and Password Accepted
Last Login (date)....blah blah...
Could Not chdir to home directory /home/sappp: no such file or directory
Start PPP Now
!@#$%^&$#@@#$@#$.....

Then I get booted after 20 seconds or so. I never see a button for starting PPP - but why would I want to since I'm going IP? I'm new to this anyone want to tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks!!

Heather

So you're going in through the web browser because you need the 'sa' login right? Can you access normally via ASA?

When the system prompts you for login and password do not use sappp but sa. The sappp login is for connecting to the modem, the sa is for connecting to the application...

I'm confused...why are you even seeing this prompt? The PPP tunnel appears when you try to RAS into the Audix. If you're on the same IP lan, just launch the app in the web browser.

Hi All,

Yes,I am going in with the web browser because I want to go into the intuity audix - I havent used ASA to administer the intuities...I do all of them with the web.

If I use sa as the login it wont take my password. I can only get it to take a password with sappp as the login.

Shouldn't the password still work with the sa login?

Thanks!!

The SA login is different than the SAPPP login. That's why it's trying to setup a PPP session.

So you can get into the web browser, click on the messaging administration links and the SA password fails there?

If you're running ASA 3.0 you can do ssh with the VM password...

Thanks,
CJH
