Hi,

I am trying to set up a third party IP/SIP phone on IPO running 5.0.8.
The Third party phone I am using is an Aastra 480i with Vertical Communications firmware (1.24.1.2000) on it apparently. The web GUI is definately saying Vertical. This is obviously preventing me from setting it up on IP Office. I tried to upload the Aastra original formaware but it won't stick

Has anyone out there had the opportunity to do this?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

This might help?!

Thanks so much Bas1234, I will refer to these notes tomorrow.
The PBX to PBX using SIP doesn't really apply here. I have a real problem with being clear about what I need for help. Appologies. It would be nice if Avaya had tested the Aastra phones and come up with a doc. They seem to be so popular.
I have fiddled with this enough...time for a drink

Oh Yeah,

One thing I'm finding interesting is that even though I have a Valid IP endpoint license (5 instances), I get and error saying that I have exceed the allowed number of non-Avaya ip endpoints when there is only one.

Curious...?

I hate Aastra sip phones, they are hard enough to log onto a proper sip server, never mind IPO. I got the 57i working today, took me over 3 hours. I have a 480i in the office, just as bad, will have a look 2m and let you know.

They certainly don't just grab onto the server and work that's for sure.
