Hi all,

At a customer, users dial outgoing calls using Authorization Codes. For a normal call, the PABX (Option 11C, Rel. 4.5) is generating, correctly, an 'A' then a 'N' CDR. However, in one case, the PABX generates only 'A' CDR for a call: if the user dial Authorization Code (ex: #50 - 1700), then AC1 (9), then the outgoing number using the E1 but the second party doesn't answer. In this case, the caller hangs up and the PABX generates only 'A' CDR (without 'N').

Is there any way to prevent the PABX from generating 'A' CDRs alone!!!!!

Thank in advance...

Hi,

Does your CDR stream include 'B' (abandoned) records? These are optionally generated when the call is unanswered or the caller encounters busy. I believe the default setting is not to output these calls. If this feature is enabled (sorry do not know how) I think you will then get both an 'A' and a 'B' record allowing you to tidy things up.

Can't remember how the records look, but there is a OAN prompt in the Route. Yes = "Timing starts on Answer Supervision". that might do the trick

You want OAN = NO so that an N record will get generated on an authorization call that is unanswered so the two can tie together. Otherwise, the trunk/member number of the solo A record will tie together with another unrelated N record down the road when it would use the same trunk/member.

Yes, that does make sense mdsikes.

The test may be to see what OAN is today, and toggle the value to see if that resolves the problem. Because whatever it is now, isn't working.
