9600 Remote Ext "No License Available" Message

Have an issue where following an IPO/Router/Phone reboot my 9630 remote phone doesn't let me log back in on first attempt. I get a message "Login failed: No license available", however if I then press login again and enter ext number and password again it logs in fine!

This is on IP500 V2 on 8.1(69)

 
things like that happen because the IPO keeps the extension alive in its memory somewhere and when you try to log back in after the connection got disrupted it still "thinks" that there is already a connection with these credentials alive.
That happens intermittently to local IP phones, it is just a nuisance you get used to I guess.

I guess that you have IP endpoint licenses for exactly all phones?
I also think that Westi is spot on.
However rebooting the IPO should never ever give you this error as this will release all extension.
When it happens then it means you have more extensions than licenses.

Just to add to this, I've since found out it was the CCR agent license that was causing the issue. We only have enough of those for the number of users assigned, so when enabled for a remote phone you need to attempt login twice before the phone will login correctly. We have plenty of spare IP endpoint licenses so unsure if it would be the same with these...
