7406e - answer dn problem/question

have a strange problem with 7406e and answer DN (SW Rel 7.1)
Extn A - 7316e with DID
Extn B - 7406E with answer DN of Extn A (Aprr & Ring)

The first DID call rings ok on both phones, the second simultaneous call rings only on the 7406E.
Once answer DN is removed it rings on 'A' - answer DN works normally on other corded phones.

has any one faced this or any suggestions

you may have DND on busy turned on on the 7406, this would stop your second intercom from ringing. You might want 3 i/c if you expect that many calls.

DND on busy is not active - If the answer DN is on a regular corded phone, it rings both the phones (CF Busy setting is also none). If answer DN is removed from 7406e, it rings for 2 calls

I tried with 3 and 4 intercom appearances - i didnt make a difference

Have you tryed tne ans dn programing from basic to enhanced.

I've not checked answer key settings ...but will play with it and let you know, if that makes a difference
